Facebook Public Policy Manager, Global Elections Project Management in Washington, District Of Columbia

Facebook is seeking an experienced leader to manage, execute and collaborate on the company's election and governance efforts for the public policy team.

This role will work with teams across Facebook to manage projects to completion in regards to elections and other civic initiatives. Responsibilities will include coordinating the development of marketing materials, product launches, events, legislation tracking and other elections related public policy needs.

The Government and Politics Policy team is an external-facing arm of Facebook that helps to manage the company's strategy on elections as well as works with the world’s governments and politicians on how to best use Facebook to connect with their constituents.

This is a full-time position and can be located in either our Washington DC or New York office.

Required Skills:

  1. Assist management in creating systems to enable decision making and information sharing for a large team and with other parts of the organization.

  2. Manage policy needs for product launches such as working with regional leads to recommend countries to scale products.

  3. Develop and manage a global calendar of events for the company around elections and other civic engagement work.

  4. Track legislation globally that pertains to Facebook (the family of apps) and elections or use of the platforms for engaging in the civic space.

  5. Manage other projects to completion as needed by the Politics and Government Outreach team.

  6. Work across many different teams to drive projects and problems to completion and resolution quickly.

  7. Work across a variety of teams from Product, Policy, Legal, Communications and Marketing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in political science, legal, or similar field

  2. 7+ years work experience with product and policy teams and experience in working on elections across the world

  3. Project management experience, and experience leading and handling multiple, cross-functional projects on deadline

  4. Experience leading teams and enabling decisions by management

  5. Presentation experience

  6. Experience thinking strategically about issues, leading to recommendations and action plans

  7. Experience working with all levels of management, both internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Fluent in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, or another language
