Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our software operates to meet the demands of our customers. The Global Facilities Operation Support (GFOS) team supports our Data Center Site teams in a number of areas including, budgeting & financial planning, standardized process and procedure governance, Environmental, Health and Safety management, and delivery of other key initiatives. The candidate will need to be experienced in critical operations, process optimization, project management, and finance operations. This position is full-time and will be based in Menlo Park, CA or Washington, DC.
Support Improvement in standard processes and procedures to support operational excellence:
Provide for cross communications with counterparts at other sites, with the leadership team, and adjacent operating teams to share lessons learned and best practices.
Oversee assessment of facility operations post incident reports, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
Support and drive the development of new global standards, training products, and maintenance procedures.
Oversee budget development and execution:
Oversee development of the overall Facility Operations budget and supports execution in the field to include reporting and adjustments.
Provide strategic guidance to support management of necessary supplies, repair parts, and consumables.
Supports prioritization and development of integrated long range plans for execution of projects and other maintenance activities.
Provide oversight of development and execution of global Data Center EHS programs:
Support development and execution of global EHS processes and procedures at operating data centers.
Support the development and execution of other EHS program elements to include: risk assessment programs, incident reporting and assessment, and EHS metrics reporting.
Empower the EHS team to fulfill their roles as EHS experts and safety professionals and support the EHS needs at operating data centers.
Assess and evaluate EHS related processes and day-to-day activities at a global level to ensure promotion and adoption of best practices and compliance with protocols and standards.
Oversee the conduct of risk assessments using industry-best safety engineering and other risk management principles.
Approximately 35% travel required.
5+ years of experience managing technical or critical facility operations
Experience in people management, staffing, and scheduling in large-scale 24/7 environments
Experience making decisions and work with minimal direction
Track record of thinking strategically and executing tactically
Experience in root cause analysis, project and program management
Experience in vendor management and negotiations
Experience in budget development and execution
Experience providing solutions to projects
8+ years of leadership experience in a technical or critical operations setting
Ability to lead in a fast-paced, hands-on rapidly growing environment
Experience in management of large-scale Data Center environments
Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Engineering or related field
