Facebook's Corporate Threat Intelligence team is looking for investigators with extensive experience in investigating and analyzing cyber threats. The team works on proactively understanding the global threat landscape as it manifests on our products and against our own corporate assets, and helps guide the company in its responses to these threats. Investigators will have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging, complicated, and high-visibility security risks the company is facing. The potential for impact with this work is substantial, as outcomes could affect the billions of people who use our products.

The perfect candidate will have a cyber investigative background, with experience in quantitative analysis, data-driven decision making, and programming/scripting proficiency. Highly qualified candidates will possess a professional understanding of nation state operations and motivations, and will have worked at a multinational company. It is important candidates are focused on results, and are self-starters.

Required Skills:

  1. Identify and investigate online bad actors with the interest and capability to target Facebook and its users

  2. Track high priority threats and identify, develop and implement countermeasures on both our corporate network and our platforms

  3. Lead technical investigations from start-to-finish, to include effectively communicating actionable results to different audience types

  4. Investigate, mitigate, and forecast emerging technical trends

  5. Engage constructively in cross-functional projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge with Python, PHP, Perl, or similar scripting languages

  2. Experience investigating and acting on threats and online threat actors

  3. Experience conducting data analysis

  4. Experience qualifying assessments with communications experience

  5. Proven track record of managing and executing on short-term and long-term projects

  6. Experience prioritizing and executing with minimal direction or oversight

  7. Experience working across the security community

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Ability to work with a team spanning multiple locations/time zones

  2. Creating signatures as countermeasures

  3. Familiarity with nation state, sophisticated criminal, or supply chain threats

  4. Regional knowledge and/or language skills

  5. Demonstrated passion for understanding the intersection of global security risks, and how they apply to Facebook
