The operations manager will be responsible for the overall site culinary operations and will report into the Executive Chef EMEA. They will liaise with the vendor onsite to ensure that the Facebook culinary standards are achieved and exceeded daily. They will oversee kitchen and front of house operations in the cafes, including kosher and non-kosher, and any onsite events. They will be the Facebook culinary point of contact for all key stakeholders in the office. This is a full time position based in Tel Aviv.
Manage, work and communicate with various onsite vendors
With the assistance of the vendor, develop and plan balanced menus: kosher, vegan, gluten free etc
Daily communication with cross-departmental staff as the culinary point of contact
Maintain a high level of service and accurate operational procedures
Manage the monthly budget with the vendor
Carry out internal checks and audits when required
Work with vendors regarding equipment purchases and procurement of supplies
Complete projects as assigned by line manager
Other adhoc duties as assigned by lead, supervisor, or management.
5+ years’ experience working as a chef or Front of House manager at a senior level is essential
Understanding of kosher food practices
Strong financial acumen, with proven experience in menu planning and budget management
Experience in implementing and managing SOP’s
Basic Microsoft program knowledge: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, etc
Fluent in both spoken and written English & Hebrew
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures, knowledge of local food safety and sanitation laws
Confident communicator with the ability to stay calm and focused whilst under pressure
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work with a sense of urgency
Proven solid track record of success in previous assignments/operations.
