Summary:

Product Producers in The Factory are responsible for turning ideas into real, tangible software that is enjoyed by billions of people around the world. They are expected to be leaders forging single-minded purpose among an interdisciplinary team of thinkers. They are creative problem solvers with a strong ability to judge risk vs. reward. They are master jugglers who always pay attention to the craft and the details.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead new engineering products and initiatives at The Factory

  2. Central point of contact on technical projects, driving product decisions related to design, engineering and metric goals

  3. Has the aptitude to create a Minimum Viable Product and transition it into a full launch Product, including the development of a 6 month future roadmap

  4. Triage priorities, bugs, test phases and localization requirements (pre- and post- market launch)

  5. Ability to produce a test plan matrix including target audience, learning goals, experiment design, queries, surveys, result readouts and quantitative research as required

  6. Leverage existing relationships or create new ones with other Facebook teams in order to ensure production goals and delivery, including cross-functional collaboration, launch, hand-off or sunsetting during a typical product lifecycle

  7. Manage presentation and feedback stages with key stakeholders

  8. Typical workload: 1-2 large-scale projects or up to 5 medium-scale projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 6+ years work experience in production (as a producer and/or product manager in title)

  2. Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch and/or programming languages

  3. Technical project management experience

  4. Knowledge of content production, especially motion graphics and animation

  5. Knowledge of UI/UX development

  6. Experience working directly in technology, whether in an agency, brand marketing, production vendor or start-up environment

  7. Experience working with software design (UI/UX)
