Facebook seeks a highly motivated, team player to serve as Lead Counsel on the Litigation team. This full-time position will work with a wide variety of teams across the company. The role requires good judgment, a strong work ethic, and a keen interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and work on cutting edge issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
Manage and drive strategy for a variety of litigation matters, including consumer and securities class actions, user disputes, and content-related matters
Collaborate with and manage outside counsel
Advise cross-functional teams on litigation strategy and risks
Coordinate and actively participate in internal discovery activities
Develop creative approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes
Being flexible and willing to work on projects in other areas
J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
5+ years of litigation experience from a law firm and/or in-house
Experience managing projects simultaneously
Trial and appellate experience
- Experience working with technology companies and intermediary liability issues
