Facebook is currently searching for a seasoned professional to be part of the team that is responsible for the sourcing and management of our key strategic vendors. This person will work closely with multiple business groups driving strategic sourcing strategies that support the business to ensure the best options for Facebook are obtained. This position is located in São Paulo, Brazil

Required Skills:

  1. Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company to strategically manage spend and the supply base for assigned categories

  2. Understand the strategic business objectives and procurement requirements and develop sourcing strategies and category roadmaps to support the business objectives

  3. Identify and be an agent for proper local billing and taxation

  4. Source, negotiate, contract and manage a wide variety of requirements including Infrastructure Hardware, Marketing, Professional Services, Facilities and IT

  5. Establish local sourcing performance targets and ensure alignment with the global category plans

  6. Manage complex sourcing projects and lead contract negotiations that optimize value to the company

  7. Identify and report key performance metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement

  8. Act as sourcing & procurement subject matter expert in consulting with the business on procurement strategies, processes, policies, and best practices

  9. Prepare sourcing documents, contracts, statements of work and related procurement documents

  10. Provide regular communication and training on processes and systems

  11. Perform the supplier management function in collaboration with the business

  12. Develop strong partnerships with Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, Contract Management, and Legal teams

  13. Manage, coordinate, and support special projects as needed

  14. Approximately 20% travel anticipated primarily to Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS degree in business, supply chain, procurement, finance or management 5+ years related experience.

  2. Proven ability to think and perform both strategically and tactically

  3. Proven ability to manage projects and small teams

  4. 3+ years of experience in global category management

  5. Global sourcing, negotiations, contracting and compliance experience required with a particularly strong business background in Latin America

  6. Experience in planning, sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier management

  7. Effective negotiator

  8. Proven skills in consulting with internal business clients

  9. Highly motivated and able to think clearly under pressure

  10. Ability to think strategically and operationally/tactically

  11. Basic understanding of various currency restrictions

  12. Working knowledge of Brazil’s business environment and local vendors

  13. Ability to drive change and improve end-to-end processes

  14. Superior Microsoft Excel financial modeling and PowerPoint skills

  15. Must speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish fluently

  16. Ability to flourish in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Oracle ERP and Procurement module experience preferred
