Facebook is seeking a Communications Associate to join our dynamic communications team in France. The ideal candidate should have a solid PR experience working with reporters and bloggers as well as experience managing social media to leverage PR campaigns, company events and initiatives. Success in this role requires the ability to work across several teams (AI, Marketing, Policy) to manage proactive and reactive communications campaigns across different media and social media platforms. The candidate will also work closely with our AI team to leverage research projects and local tech initiatives.

Excellent writing skills in French and English, and a passion and understanding and explaining new technology and social media are a must. This position is full-time, based in our Paris Office.

Required Skills:

  1. Work with internal teams to develop insightful narratives and proactive and reactive communications campaigns in support of key communications priorities.

  2. Apply a social lens to existing brand content and messaging—tailor all items appropriately by channel to leverage PR & communications campaigns, events and initiatives across different digital platforms.

  3. Measure and report impact of social media content and campaigns.

  4. Monitor the social landscape and elevate notable developments and trends to teams across the organization.

  5. Build relationships with digital influencers, explore and experiment with new social media channels and techniques as needed.

  6. Educate press, bloggers and influencers about Facebook products and initiatives to drive positive coverage in publications and across social media.

  7. Create press materials including media pitches, blog posts, FAQs, fact sheets, videos and photos.

  8. Help develop complementary visuals and videos for internal and external communications.

  9. Support broader communications team projects with expert writing and editing.

  10. Organize press events : briefings, media sessions, and events for influencers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5 years of experience in PR, social media marketing and influencer campaigns, Agency experience is a plus (preferably product or tech communications).

  2. Deep understanding of social media platforms and management tools.

  3. Exceptional writing skills with strong attention to detail, grammar, and tone.

  4. Experience working cross-functionally with an array of internal teams.

  5. Creative outlook with inspired brand content and story telling ideas.

  6. Bilingual French - English (Spanish and/or Italian would be a plus).
