CrowdTangle is a social discovery & analytics platform that was acquired by Facebook in late 2016. CrowdTangle is a free platform used by publishers to discover stories, benchmark against competitors and identify influencers. We're looking for someone who is passionate about local news and helping the local news industry use social media, including Facebook & Instagram, to support their work. We're also looking for someone who is excited about regularly working with & training local news editors, social media managers and journalists on how to use CrowdTangle to inform their work.
This individual will support our top-tier local news partners (specifically in broadcast news) alongside our existing CrowdTangle local news team and Facebook's local news partner managers with the goal of helping those partners get the most of our platform. Candidates will be data driven, self-motivated, and flexible to frequent changes. They are expected to think creatively about issues and passionate about problem solving, as well comfortable wearing a lot of hats. They will also be able to work successfully across teams. This role is based in New York City.
Manage a select group of top-tier local news partner in the United States, particularly in the broadcast space, to help them get the most value out of the CrowdTangle
Work with our scaled education team, as well as other partner managers, to help support broader set of partners through webinars, case studies, events and more
Proactively identify and lead initiatives to deliver impact in your vertical, through partnerships, major tentpole events and more
Work closely with other CrowdTangle partnerships team members to identify best practices, learn from each other and collaborate together to deliver impact to our partners
Partner closely with cross-functional teams across Facebook including partnerships, operations, product and engineering
Bring ideas and feedback from your vertical and key partners to the CrowdTangle product team to inform our roadmap
Help establish team goals and work with multiple stakeholders on strategies for executing, measuring progress and reporting results among your partners
4+ years of experience in news & publishing
Experience with social media & analytics/social monitoring, including tools like CrowdTangle, Dataminr, Tweetdeck and more
Experience training or supporting other teams, including potentially account or partnership work
Experience presenting at public events and/or running trainings with groups
- Background in broadcast local news
