Summary:

Facebook is seeking a Head of Policy Programs to provide leadership to its programs portfolio in India, South, & Central Asia region. This comprehensive portfolio includes economic growth initiatives, women's economic empowerment, online safety, security, privacy, social good, disaster preparedness and driving social value through the utility of our platforms and the innovation through our family of apps. We are looking for a candidate who can come up with strategic, creative ways to address challenging issues, has great interpersonal and collaboration skills, possesses exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously and work in a cross functional environment. This is an extraordinary opportunity to join our growing global public policy team and work on dynamic programs in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This position is based in Delhi and reports to our Policy Director.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop and lead current program partnerships and relationships with external stakeholders

  2. Undertake research for new programs, including topics, identification of partners, budget planning and logistics.

  3. Align program initiatives with the Regional public policy priorities.

  4. Support the creation of communications, educational and marketing materials

  5. Drive ideation, creation and production of events, program elements and collateral materials across the full range of subject areas and priorities.

  6. Identify strategic opportunities for external presentations to key external audiences

  7. Develop and execute the outreach strategy

  8. The position also involves managing a team of Policy Program Managers and associates working on the above areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Passion for our mission, our community and our values

  2. 12+ years of experience in planning and executing public policy programs

  3. Ability to drive and manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously

  4. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  5. Ability to work in a cross functional environment, consensus building and strong collaboration skills

  6. Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively

  7. Excellent writing, research and communication skills

  8. Willingness to roll up sleeves and do any task required to get the job done

  9. Experience in the Internet technology industry a plus

  10. Significant travel required
