Summary:

Facebook is seeking a Communications Manager to support our communications efforts, primarily around our economic impact as Facebook in Italy and our ads offer for businesses of all sizes in the country. The Communications Manager will have strong experience in executing high-profile communications initiatives, is an excellent writer both in English and in Italian, and has knowledge and interest in the concepts and technologies for business and economic growth. The role requires managing proactive and reactive communications, from planning to execution. This position is full-time, based in our Milan's Office.

Required Skills:

  1. Execution of public relations efforts related to our solutions available to businesses in Italy, including SMBs and large advertisers

  2. Work closely with external PR agencies for ads products and advertising as well as broader growth and product initiatives

  3. Educate press, bloggers and influencers about Facebook solutions and initiatives

  4. Drive positive coverage in business and advertising trade media in Italy

  5. Support and manage the creation of comms programs, press materials, and customer/partner reference programs in Italy

  6. Organize press briefings, media sessions, and events (in conjunction with central ads comms lead and local country managers)

  7. Prepare briefing materials and manage spokespeople as necessary

  8. Become a key part of the Italian comms team so that we increase our understanding of the monetization agenda, products and priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field

  2. 7+ years professional experience in communications or public relations, both agency and in-house

  3. Fluency in English – other Southern European languages will be an advantage (Spanish and/or French)

  4. Experience working with business and journalists to achieve communications goals

  5. Experience in managing PR agencies, contractors and project management

  6. Team player with strong project management and decision-making skills

  7. Applications must be submitted in English
