Summary:

Facebook’s Quill team is working on bringing professional animation and storytelling to Facebook's VR platform, with emphasis on its social consumption. We are designing new ways for artists to create, and people to connect and share using the unique qualities of this immediate and immersive new medium. Our goal is to launch experiences that put people first. We work on the whole ecosystem from creation to distribution, and on mentoring the community and the animation industry. This role leads cross-team efforts that help deliver key, strategic R&D experiences to the Facebook Social Graph.

We are seeking talented individuals with a solid background in creative, high-tech product development who can be highly effective communicators and heavily influential in the organization. In this position, you will track the day-to-day activities of a wide variety of roles and people. You will work with some of the world's most talented product managers, designers, artists, marketers and engineers. You will be accountable for our creator and viewer education efforts, project management, release pipeline management and more.

Required Skills:

  1. Articulate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of your team

  2. Lead our partners, community and education efforts

  3. Define and own metrics and key performance indicators

  4. Reduce surprises during execution

  5. Work with Product, Art, Design and Engineering to define your teams' strategy

  6. Build dashboards for tracking product and product pillar's status and velocity

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 4+ years of end-user or platform product project/program management experience

  2. 2+ years of experience developing products like film or games

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 1+ years of experience in virtual reality products and services
