Our mission is to prevent people from having negative experiences on Facebook due to product or platform safety. We build large scale, complex systems and operate an infrastructure to enable detection and remediation of content and behaviors that violate our Community Standards. We do this on a global scale across the full suite of Facebook products. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who will become a subject matter expert in specific areas of our risk protection work for payments on Marketplace, and will provide support to a largely cross-functional team in reducing negative impact on the platform. Relevant experience is important, but ultimately less so than your demonstrated abilities and attitude.

This is a full-time position based in Menlo Park.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage cross-functional platform programs by working with development teams, data teams and operations.

  2. Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery.

  3. Communicate status and big picture to the project team and management.

  4. Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.

  5. Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks.

  6. Drive internal process improvements, remove gaps across multiple teams and ensure teams are working on high impact projects that align with company mission and goals.

  7. Interface with Engineering and Product teams for project requirements and scope.

  8. Understand and be able to communicate well in regards to backend infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.

  2. 5+ years of technical program management, systems or software engineering experience.

  3. Communication and interpersonal experience including relationship building and collaboration within cross-functional teams.

  4. Organizational and coordination experience.

  5. Analytical and problem-solving experience, and experience with large-scale systems.

  6. Experience understanding product requirements and translating needs into plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience dealing with projects that cuts across legal, policy, trust and fraud.

  2. PMP Certification (PMI).
