Facebook is seeking a Technical Program Manager with ASIC/FPGA design and development experience. The Hardware Technical Program Manager (TPM) will lead cross-functional and multi-site teams on evaluating ASICs and FPGAs to enable Facebook's Infrastructure Engineering organization, whose responsibilities include the growth, management and 24x7 upkeep of the Facebook website. This is a full-time position based in our main office in Menlo Park and will report to the Group Technical Program Manager.
Manage cross-functional infrastructure projects in a matrix organization covering a range of areas (Datacenter, Network, Hardware Systems, Infrastructure Software Engineering, Capacity Management).
Drive and manage ASIC/FPGA development and their subsystems with external vendors, internal software, hardware and architecture teams, from concept to production.
Deliver ASIC/FPGA solution to enable high quality system products.
Engage in product management in collaboration with Engineering owners to define product roadmaps.
Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.
Define and drive ASIC development process for on-time delivery of ASIC/FPGA solution.
Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
Work with the software, hardware, architecture teams to understand the requirements and constraints.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
BS degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or other technical field.
4+ years of experience supporting Hardware Engineering teams in ASIC development.
4+ years of Program or Product management experience with proven technical leadership in similar field.
Experience in managing ASIC design flow (architecture, micro-architecture, RTL, Synthesis, functional verification, physical layout etc.).
Experience in pre-silicon testing with FPGA and post-silicon bring up.
Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
Cross-functional leadership and communication experience.
Experience with semi-conductor technology and manufacturing processes.
Experience with relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team.
Experience in using RTL design with VHDL, Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
Experience working with ODMs and other vendors.
Experience with data center architecture and deployment.
Web or Internet start-up environment and technical infrastructure management experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage from technical details to big picture.
Software knowledge with compilers.
