Facebook Strategic Partner Manager, Community Partnerships in Menlo Park, California

Facebook is building a partnerships team to focus on the second half of our mission “bringing the world closer together.” This team will be focused on the ways that our products and programs can we used to help people build common ground and bridge divides. You should be passionate about building products and programs that empower communities to be civil, empathetic, informed, and healthy.
You will work with some of the world’s best academic, expert, and influential civil society organizations, as well as our world class Product, Engineering, Policy, Legal, Marketing, and PR teams to develop products, experiences, and programs that improve the societal problems that manifest on Facebook. A qualified candidate will have a strong passion and curiosity for the role of technology in society, the impact Facebook can have to bridge divides, and the potential for partnerships to better society.
This position is located in our Menlo Park, CA office.
Manage relationship with community of experts, academics, and community leaders to partner with Facebook
Host co-learning workshops between partners and product teams, and develop new models for collaborative product development
Develop content and lead trainings for partners on how to use Facebook to build common ground
Help develop a framework and criteria for partner selection, and serve as primary owner of influential external relationships
Collaborate with product teams to translate product learnings and insights into product solutions
Lead all elements of multiple complex high-visibility collaboration deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
Willingness and ability to travel 20% of the time
7+ years of work experience with product and/or partnerships in consumer technology, news media, political organizations, or start ups
Experience engaging with C-level of any partner organization
Knowledge of the Facebook Platform and how its products could be leveraged to build community and build common ground
Organizational, project management, and people management experience
Experience presenting in public, and communicating to internal and external audiences
Experience navigating and working with cross-functional teams
Experience studying or working on bridging divides, polarization, or reconciliation
Experience leading a partnerships team
Experience in a product training and/or product adoption role
Comfort with fast-paced start-up environment with little supervision and appetite for intensity
Fluency in any other language
Displaying the highest personal integrity and ethics
