Facebook Silicon CAD Engineer in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

As a Silicon CAD Engineer at Facebook Reality Labs(FRL), you will work with a world-class group of researchers and engineers, and use your CAD tool and Infrastructure experience to design, deploy, support and scale a cutting-edge Silicon CAD design environment.

Required Skills:

  1. Work with the architects, designers and DV engineers to define, architect and enhance Silicon CAD flows for digital, analog and mixed-signal designs

  2. Negotiate with EDA Vendors for tool licenses and interface for support

  3. Provide support for installing and maintaining CAD tools, license servers, job queues etc.

  4. Support Design, DV, PD and Analog teams with flow definition and automation

  5. Maintain source control repositories, regression flows and database management

  6. Work with the IT department to specify and support a scalable Linux compute infrastructure

  7. Ability to communicate clearly

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of experience as a Silicon CAD Engineer

  2. Experience supporting EDA tools from Vendors such as Synopsys, Cadence and Mentor

  3. Experience with maintaining source control repositories (Mercurial or similar)

  4. Experience with DV, Place & Route, Signoff, and Custom circuit design flows

  5. Experience with Python, TCL, Perl, Shell and SKILL scripting

  6. BS Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Emulation HW platform deployment (Palladium or similar)

  2. Masters in Electrical Engineering
