The Compliance, Security, and Investigations Operations group is looking for an experienced technical project manager with a passion for security. As our Security PM, this person will be responsible for reviewing and coordinating efforts to verify the security of existing and new internal applications used for trust and safety, security, and legal compliance operations. This person will also be expected to review new products for integration into our legal tooling. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, previous experience coordinating projects and ability to work cross-functionally to drive security efforts for our team. Lastly, the candidate should have familiarity with or be willing to work on the intersection of tech, legal, compliance and law enforcement matters. This is a full-time position and is located in Menlo Park, CA.
Build relationships and act as a trusted partner with the Facebook Security Team, Community Operations Safety Product Team and Safety Engineering team
Coordinate the consolidation, tracking and communication of project requirements, priority and status to key stakeholders including engineers and leadership
Stay connected with frontline practices and provide direct/specific input aimed at increasing security with process, tooling, staffing or vendor integration
Serve as an escalation point for frontline difficulties where the next step to resolution is ambiguous
Maintain awareness of new product development and integration requirements for legal compliance
B.S. in a technical discipline or 4+ years of additional project management experience in lieu of a degree
8+ years experience in technical project management
Knowledge across security disciplines - web application, mobile, infrastructure, hardware
Track record of breaking down process and identifying pain points in order to deliver operational and technical improvements
Experience evaluating priorities and managing projects
Organizational, communication, and interpersonal experience, including working across technical cross-functional teams
Experience motivating and adapting to different working styles based on teams involved
Experience working up/down level interactions with peers of all levels from front line analysts to managers and organizational leadership
Experience in software engineering/compliance technology/identity management and access controls
PMP or Agile certification
Willingness to obtain Department of Justice Secret Clearance
Experience working in a web/internet start-up environment and/or technical infrastructure management experience
