The Research Manager will be an integral part of our team, and will design, execute and deliver high-impact primary research. The ideal candidate will be flexible, agile, with strong analytical and communication skills. In this role, you will work with Product, Marketing, Business and CO teams to help shape the direction of our product and business.
The role also requires you to have a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams, preferably with researchers of different disciplines. You will need to articulate the vision of the team internally and externally. You must become a trusted, strategic partner to product stakeholders by communicating and demonstrating the value of research, and by delivering insights that lead to demonstrable improvements for our users. You should be analytical, but also know when to trust your gut. You will build strong relationships with other research teams across the Facebook family of apps to share insights and find common themes.
Build the vision and team for the research function at WhatsApp
Ensure we are always focusing on the highest priority opportunities and challenges
Translate research findings into actionable insights that will have an effect on reaching billions of people and millions of businesses
6+ years of experience in quantitative and qualitative research, including hands-on experience in survey/discussion guide drafting and data analysis
Problem solving experience and experience to move from blank slate to a research problem matched with a methodology
Proven track record of using primary and secondary research to influence executives and colleagues
Communication and presentation experience
International Research Experience
Experience in a consumer technology company, with a strong understanding of social platforms and mobile ecosystems
Experience with positioning, messaging development and optimization research
