Program Managers at Facebook are passionate connectors and problem solvers. By supporting the operational aspects of the product teams, you will enable teams to focus their time on designing, building and shipping product. You will improve team communication, collaboration, and remove roadblocks. Finally, you'll utilize a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills to help keep our teams on track, execute specific design initiatives intended to grow team culture and industry expertise, and you'll have an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams as you establish great ways of working together.

Required Skills:

  1. Program Definition and Execution

  2. Establish and support ongoing programs for product design teams including things like onboarding, learning opportunities, skill building and team building

  3. Drive clarity around ownership, objectives and next steps

  4. Manage initiatives and tools that better define our workspace to be more efficient and impactful

  5. Manage task forces by providing flexible processes that help keep communication on track and ensure people have information, tools, and resources they need to succeed

  6. Facilitate meetings including preparing agendas, establishing next steps and owners

  7. Proactively raise and resolve issues around our initiatives before they are a problem for individuals

  8. Support the management team with effective team communication, proactive problem solving, information distribution

  9. Measure impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively

  10. Track and move initiatives forward working with multiple stakeholders

  11. Partner with engineering and PM team to ensure that design related product improvements and UI bugs are tracked to successful completion

  12. Partner with teams across Facebook to implement improvements to the profile and search user experience

  13. Relationships

  14. Build impactful relationships and serve as a dependable point of contact across the design teams and cross-functional partners you're working with in all offices

  15. Establish communication structure to report out updates, progress and status with task forces or leads on the team so everyone understands role and expectations

  16. Manage program communication and proactively connect with your partners in other offices or disciplines to make them aware of the programs and how they can support you

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience working with designers and creating design communities

  2. 6+ years of experience as a producer, project manager or program manager with experience establishing programs, supporting teams, and developing relationships

  3. Track record of operating independently and delivering results

  4. Experience in product design/UX and experience working with designers and cross-functional teams
