Summary:

The Infrastructure Services and Operational Support (ISOS) team designs, implements and continuously evolves systems and processes to support all aspects of network and data center operations. In this role, you will work closely with Facebook data center managers, network and software engineers and key infrastructure business stakeholders to devise technical solutions for business problems and own delivery from concept to creation. The Operations Program Manager will support our OCP network gear as well as OEM gear operations integration into the data center to ensure a smooth transition into the full hardware lifecycle including systems automation tooling. As peer to Software and Validation Engineers, Technical Program Managers and Data Center Teams, you will heavily contribute to planning and strategy, execution, evangelism, negotiating cross-team dependencies, representing the voice of the customer, and expected to shine as a creative, valuable & influential member of the team. Required Skills:

  1. Lead/support all operations integration activities including driving software automation integration and validation for several simultaneous hardware projects, track progress, risks and issues and communicate broadly within the organization

  2. Manage software integration for highly cross-functional hardware development projects in a matrix organization covering a range of areas (software engineering, hardware/software integration, new product introduction (NPI))

  3. Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices and drive internal process and tooling automation improvements across multiple teams and functions

  4. Work closely with production engineering, software engineering, hardware and network engineering teams in Menlo Park, Seattle, Dublin and other US and EMEA locations to drive high-impact projects to successful completion

  5. Manage introduction of OCP (ODM) and OEM network systems to teams in data centers that will deploy and maintain hardware throughout its life cycle, regularly update stakeholders on status, resolution of issues while new changes are settling

  6. Review operational, software tooling and validation issues and determine if a technology solution is required or a process correction needs to be made

  7. Drive continual improvement of systems and data workflows, dependency mapping, overall process and phase exit criteria and validation

  8. Identify areas of risk and drive mitigation with subject matter experts within the organization

  9. Willingness and ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 10-15% of the time

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, electrical engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience

  2. 5+ years of work experience in Project or Technical Program Management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value using technology solutions in high-tech operations space

  3. Demonstrated experience adapting and learning skill sets

  4. Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational experience

  5. Experience collaborating with different skill sets in cross-functional organizations across global teams and time zones

  6. Programming or scripting experience or experience interpreting and understanding code using command line tools and applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in software program management or systems development

  2. Familiarity with automation, provisioning, commissioning and enterprise tooling for asset tracking, systems provisioning (firmware, OS, kernel, chef, application, etc.), component monitoring, alerting and repair ticketing systems, etc.

  3. Knowledge in data center operations

  4. Action oriented with the ability to get things done and overcome obstacles and develop solutions to problems
