The Product Operations team within Facebook’s Community Operations fuels product quality and engagement by representing the voice of the user across all of Facebook’s platforms and products (iOS / Android, Messenger, Instagram, Web, Video, Search etc.). We are looking for summer interns who will help us monitor and improve the quality and stability of a specific Facebook product. As a member of the team, you will leverage data tools and other sources of user feedback to identify user experience themes, prioritize issues, and help your team communicate key takeaways to Product and Engineering Managers to shape product direction. You will work cross-functionally with other teams within Facebook to improve user experience. You may also work with teams to improve key operational processes or tools that impact teams’ ability to improve the user experience.

Your contributions will have lasting significance by equipping the broader Product Operations team to deliver increased impact beyond the extent of your internship.

You will utilize a strong analytical strategic mindset, leverage data to inform your positions, and navigate obstacles in a quickly-changing and ambiguous environment. The position is for a full-time internship and based in Menlo Park, CA.

Required Skills:

  1. Collaborate with members of the Product Operations team as well as Product Managers, Engineering Leads, Research, Marketing and Data Science Analytics to understand a key business problem

  2. Partner with Product Operations colleagues to develop a structured, actionable project plan

  3. Analyze relevant data and effectively summarize insights

  4. Present findings, next steps, and impact clearly to company leaders

  5. Deliver against the plan in collaboration with teammates

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Currently enrolled in an MBA program with graduation dates between December 2019 and August 2020

  2. Demonstrated interest in Internet/consumer technology, operations, and/or customer-oriented environments

  3. Experience with meeting objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with supervision

  4. Track record of leadership, strong project management, and ability to work independently

  5. Ability to prioritize demands in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment

  6. Permanent U.S. work authorization required as company sponsorship is not available
