Summary:

We're looking for an experienced, consumer-focused marketer to lead product marketing for Facebook products for Youth audiences. Connecting with friends and family and staying informed about the world around you on Facebook are in many ways universal benefits. Still, younger demographics use Facebook products differently and we have an amazing opportunity to help tailor their experience to get the most out of our services. Our team is responsible for global, end-to-end marketing of products designed with youth consumer audiences in mind.

You will be responsible for understanding target consumer audiences, influencing product strategy, driving go-to-market planning, and developing ongoing engagement programs. If you're passionate about the positive impact technology can have on young people's lives, and are excited about shaping Facebook for these audiences, we'd love to meet you. This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Menlo Park.

Required Skills:

  1. Drive marketing strategy and plans that help deliver relevance and value to youth audiences.

  2. Develop core product positioning and messaging for key products and features, considering value proposition, audience needs, market landscape, and other factors.

  3. Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analysis to influence product strategy and inform go-to-market plans.

  4. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader Facebook ecosystem and competitive landscape to develop strategic product feedback and positioning.

  5. Create and execute go-to-market plans, collaborating closely with product, partnerships, PR, and other cross-functional teams to determine effective launch strategy, creative asset development, and communication goals to best drive awareness, engagement, and adoption.

  6. Plan and lead successful marketing campaigns that drive product awareness and adoption.

  7. Lead and collaborate with external creative agencies to ensure quality, on-time delivery of marketing programs and assets across multiple channels.

  8. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams (including PR, product, and policy stakeholders) to deliver and create integrated marketing moments.

  9. Author and review partner-facing communication, such as blog posts.

  10. Tackle complex problems with a strategic mindset and create thoughtful recommendations and action plans for solving those problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of consumer marketing experience, including managing creative and/or media agencies.

  2. 3+ years experience working in digital media and technology.

  3. Experience in trends, pop culture and working with influencers.

  4. Analytical and problem-solving experience.

  5. Experience communicating to internal executive and product teams, as well as for consumer-facing audiences.

  6. Experience leading a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree.

  2. MBA.

  3. Youth marketing experience and/or consumer brand marketing.

  4. Keen ability to translate complexity into simple and intuitive communications.

  5. Effectiveness in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup environment.
