Summary:

Facebook seeks a product strategist and marketer who is knowledgeable and passionate about digital advertising, mobile commerce, and helping businesses grow. This role will drive the next set of performance marketing solutions for eCommerce businesses and focus on identifying key market needs and setting the strategies that unlock those opportunities. The ideal candidate must exhibit excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, and product positioning skills and thrive in ambiguous environments. She or he must excel as a leader of cross-functional teams and have a track record of growing advertising or other digital businesses. This position requires a close partnership with Product, Engineering and Sales leadership and a track record of developing product strategy, executing global launches, and driving impact across teams. This is a full-time position based at Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead market assessment, quantitative analysis, qualitative feedback, and represent the voice of the market internally with Product Management and Engineering

  2. Identify significant long-term opportunities based on research, analysis and a strategic view of the direction of the market

  3. Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to plan and execute roadmap projects

  4. Plan and lead cross-functional efforts to drive successful product alpha and beta programs and launches for businesses, globally

  5. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader Facebook ecosystem and competitive landscape to develop strategic product feedback and positioning

  6. Define and manage comprehensive go-to-market strategy and plan including positioning, policy, launch strategy, PR

  7. Partner effectively with Product Management and outbound marketing to lead world-class product marketing communications for new business products

  8. Communicate the value proposition of new products to all go-to-market teams and ensure that effective sales support materials and packages are created

  9. Drive product adoption and usage rates by supporting market facing programs and effective product launch support

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. 8+ years work experience in software, internet technology, digital marketing, product management, strategy consulting, startups, or investing

  3. 2+ years working in a product management or product marketing capacity (partnered closely with Product Management and/or Engineering to represent market requirements and with Sales to support product launches)

  4. eCommerce experience, partnering with product teams to identify and bring to market solutions for buyers and sellers

  5. Mobile advertising experience

  6. Analytical, data-driven decision maker

  7. Experience leading in both strategic and operational levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Digital advertising or eCommerce experience

  2. General management or growth experience at a technology company

  3. Structured problem solving (Banking/Corp Dev/VC/Market Research/Consulting/entrepreneur)

  4. Product related experience

  5. Some understanding of large brand advertising/trade dollars, co-op budget etc. (brand manager at CPG)

  6. MBA
