With over 60 million active business pages and six million active advertisers, Facebook is one of the largest business platforms in the world and this role will play a critical role in helping our product teams understand how we can make meaningful connections between people and small and medium sized businesses. We are seeking an experienced, highly quantitative, process-oriented and creative Analyst, who is self-motivated and an ambitious problem-solver. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who is comfortable making sense of data, who is excited to break down problems and who is passionate about digital marketing and helping us grow.
As an Analyst on the Business Product Marketing (BPM) Planning team focus on developing and scaling marketing solutions for small and medium sized businesses, you will be an expert in data tools and sources and thrive on solving highly analytical problems and turning data into actionable insights. You will work with a small team within BPM Planning, Analytics & Solutions Enablement, and partner directly with the SMB Lead in the BPM Planning while working cross-functionally with other teams across Facebook, in the US and abroad. This position is full-time and located in our Menlo Park office.
Gather, and analyze large amounts of data
Operate in a fast-paced environment
Structure complex, ambiguous business questions and utilize strong analytical skillset to drive insightful analysis using internal and external data (e.g. revenue, product, market, industry, user behavior, external customer surveys) to answer key business questions raised by the team
Analyze trends within countries, verticals, and sub-verticals to identify trends, and potential opportunities
Creating pipelines and queries in our data warehouse to analyze large sets of internal data
Develop processes and continuous improvement of core projects through automation and process enhancement
Identify and scale best practices throughout the Facebook organization
2+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations in a technology company or investment banking
Problem-solving experience with experience providing practical business insights from multiple sources of data
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
Experience communicating concepts and insights to a non-technical audience
BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Sociology, or Business
Experience with Small & Medium Businesses
Experience with data analysis tools and abilities like SQL, Tableau
