Summary:

The Facebook Business Development team is responsible for partnerships and large strategic deals across Facebook's core business, Oculus, Advanced Machine Learning, internet.org, and Music. The BD team is looking for a Partnerships Manager to help drive business planning and operational execution focused on our regional countries, especially India. The Partnerships Manager will partner with cross-functional teams (including sales, partnerships, marketing, finance, product and engineering), with the primary objective of enabling leadership to make effective, analytically driven, and strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook as well as the regions, have a proven track record of operational leadership in a cross-functional environment, a strategic thinker who can drive for results, and able to move fast while keeping focused on high impact projects. This is a full-time position and is located at HQ in Menlo Park.

Required Skills:

  1. Business and Strategic Planning:

  2. Support management in strategic, operational and financial planning and ensure decisions in line with overall Facebook approach and goals

  3. Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new markets, products or verticals, org restructuring and design

  4. Provide business analytic strength to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth

  5. Lead sophisticated research and analysis (e.g. revenue, customer, market and competitive trends and insights) for leadership to support decision-making

  6. Operating Rhythm:

  7. Lead operational reviews and rhythm of the deals and partnerships to drive decision-making and review progress on regional goals and priorities (e.g. monthly/quarterly business reviews)

  8. Drive key leadership meetings and facilitate alignment on key issues and opportunities

  9. Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company and represent the Business Development team with cross-functional teams

  10. Will involve 25% travel to regions

  11. Strategic Projects and Initiatives:

  12. Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives for the Business Development team, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization

  13. Lead/facilitate cross-functional teams to get work done, driving recommendations through to implementation

  14. Drive operational excellence through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor degree in business, engineering or other quantitative disciplines

  2. 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic planning and/or business operations in the technology/internet space

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience leading strategy, operations and process improvement projects at a leading consulting firm or in a relevant strategy/operations team

  2. Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, ability to solve complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational), and to drive projects from strategy to execution

  3. Able to develop or oversee advanced quantitative analysis and derive actionable insights

  4. Strong leadership and influencing skills - able to lead/influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization

  5. Demonstrable experience working cross-functionally with leadership in developing and executing successful plans

  6. Results and detail oriented, with strong commercial/business acumen

  7. Strong communication skills

  8. Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills

  9. MBA
