Come join a diverse and collaborative team of researchers who work to deliver human-centered insights that shape the future of Facebook. Within our team, research spans every step of the product life cycle, from understanding people's latent needs before we build products, to assuring the products we build deliver world class user experiences, to measuring the impact of our products once they are in use.

For this position, we are looking for a part-time Academic Collaborator with strong skills in statistics and behavioral data analysis. The right candidate will be knowledgeable about product design and excited to build strong collaborations between our research and product teams. Research and collaboration is expected to last for 2 years but may change based on business need. This role can be performed remotely, but requires up to 25% travel to Facebook headquarters annually.

Required Skills:

  1. Collaborate with our Research team as part of ongoing product research

  2. Work closely with product teams to identify research topics

  3. Conduct research to understand user behavior and attitudes

  4. Partner with engineers, analysts, and other technical roles to create and share research

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of experience in applied product research

  2. Experience with memorialization protocol on technology platforms

  3. Experience with applied statistics and survey design

  4. Experience communicating research methods and findings with audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. PhD in a social science related field (Social Psychology, Sociology, etc.)
