The Infrastructure Support & Operations Services (ISOS) team designs, implements and continuously evolves the existing Operational Practices of Facebooks’ data centers and networks. This team builds processes and tools to allow Facebook to scale. We are seeking a passionate Operations Program Manager to plan and manage all activities around the data center Pre-Operations function that encompasses Site Selection, Design, Construction and Turn-up. This role will be looked at to organize and implement various internal and external applications, by working closely with data center business stakeholders to devise technical solutions for business problems and own delivery from concept to creation and successfully drive integration of disparate process and applications across various workflows. The position is based in our main office in Menlo Park, CA.

Required Skills:

  1. Work with business stakeholders to identify and document roadmap/vision for all of the build functions until operations within the evolving Data Center ecosystem

  2. Define and document the end-to-end business processes used today and identify where and how tooling solutions will aid with streamlining and scaling the process

  3. Work with Legal, InfoSec and IT sourcing teams to complete vendor security assessments and contract execution for third party platforms and applications identified

  4. Manage all aspects of the program - scoping, success metrics, execution, launch and communication

  5. Align cross-functional stakeholders on objectives and goals for the program, gather and prioritize requirements

  6. Identify key metrics/measures that will be used to evaluate success and validate the business impact of the program

  7. Manage expectations of all interested parties – define clear projects with key deliverable and milestone dates

  8. Identify and communicate risks and adjustments to the overall program

  9. Oversee deployment tasks (tactical cut over activities) as well as training for all Data Center teams as well as external partners

  10. Maintain program status pages and provide frequent program updates for stakeholder communication and engagement

  11. Drive towards problem resolution despite ambiguity or uncertainty

  12. Build relationships, gain consensus, remove tension/roadblocks and focus on the solution

  13. Be independent in examination and analysis, alongside results oriented

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field

  2. 5+ years work experience in Project Management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value using technology solutions in high-tech operations space

  3. Proven project management, interpersonal, and communication experience

  4. Program management experience in building enterprise tooling initiatives, defining roadmaps and translating strategic initiatives into tactical, objective programs

  5. Experience collaborating with individuals across the organization, in other geographies, and "roll-up the sleeves" in order to accomplish initiatives

  6. Experience walking the line between business and technology

  7. Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational experience

  8. Experience of organizational, time management and executing on multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Data center industry knowledge and experience in Infrastructure

  2. Experience working with third party vendor teams and driving business reviews
