Facebook Operations Lead in Menlo Park, California


As the Marketing organization continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Operations Lead to join the Oculus Marketing team - the team that designs product and program identities, creates product launch assets, builds marketing campaigns, and develops collateral for internal and external events. The successful candidate must have experience managing product marketing projects, operations, and logistics in a fast-paced Internet or online marketing company; problem-solving capability; and global integrated experience in live action, digital, and animation production (from production to editorial to finishing and delivery). He or she must thrive within cross-functional teams, excel at building and managing relationships with internal partners and stakeholders, and exhibit organizational, communication and financial management skills. Must have a proven track record for instituting tools that teams are bought into and improve workflow. Must be a flexible cross-functional manager comfortable with a fast-paced, often ambiguous, start-up environment.

This is a full-time position based at headquarters in Menlo Park, and will report to the Director of Production for AR/VR.

This role will partner closely with the rest of the Oculus leadership team to resource business needs and deliver world-class marketing materials. This is an outstanding opportunity for thought leadership in establishing, implementing, and improving department process.

Required Skills:

  1. Build and optimize systems, tools and standards to improve how the marketing organization works together, with cross-functional partners, and external vendors and contractors

  2. Create business partnerships with leaders of all levels and departments within the Product Marketing organization

  3. Manage inbound and outbound projects to ensure successful delivery of various product launches

  4. Facilitate all facets of campaign delivery, from resourcing, brief creation and creative development to production, cross-functional feedback and approvals, launch and reporting

  5. Manage production budgets and approvals

  6. Help prioritize projects with Marketing Leadership based on impact, company objectives and resources

  7. Manage relationship and project management responsibilities for strategic sourcing and procurement

  8. Support various marketing/creative operations related work including, but not limited to: recruiting, people programs, learning and development

  9. Maintain brand integrity across all project deliverables

  10. Manage tight deadlines across multiple teams and projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated marketing operations and logistics experience in the web technology sector and experience contributing at both strategic and operational levels

  2. Track record of driving innovative changes in operational processes

  3. Experience working with Product Marketing, Creative Agencies and Production companies

  4. Experience in Excel, Oracle, and Keynote

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Is a manager with organization and people skills and the ability to set priorities, problem-solve, multi-task and work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment

  2. BA/BS degree
