This is a people manager opportunity within the Infrastructure Business Operations Support (IBOS) team. Facebook is seeking an experienced operations leader with deep domain expertise in logistics processes including Inbound material management and controls, inventory controls, trade compliance and tax as it relates to material movements and intercompany transfers, who can provide vision and leadership to a team of program managers that support all aspects of logistics process controls. Business Process Controls team is chartered with the critical mission to ensure that sufficient process controls are established in all material management activities performed by IBOS. This is a team of process owners and program managers that perform several activities in their functional areas including continuous and ongoing stakeholder engagement, KPI management, risk mitigation, continuous improvement, design and implementation of scalable and efficient processes, developing roadmap, executing to roadmap and providing critical inputs to process automation. This role requires a full understanding of procure to pay and its impacts to receiving, material lifecycle management, inventory management, transportation, tax and trade compliance.

Required Skills:

Responsible for developing and maintaining scalable processes in a global environment to support various programs in logistics Process Controls space including Inbound Material management (Receiving), Inventory controls, Trade compliance and Tax support as it relates to international shipping and intercompany transfers

  4. Responsible for partnering with stakeholders including Sourcing, Accounting, Finance, Trade Compliance and Tax teams to assess potential process control risks proactively and establish operational plan to mitigate them

  5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sourcing, Accounting, Finance, Trade Compliance and Tax teams to assess ongoing business needs and build short term and long term roadmap to support stakeholder needs

  6. Responsible for developing standard processes and tooling needs to support program requirements for logistics process controls focusing on scale and efficiency

  7. Responsible for supporting implementation of technology solutions and process automations efforts to improve material visibility, enhance controls and to improve process efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or equivalent experience

  2. 5+ years experience managing a team

  3. Experience in building a team through continual coaching and career growth opportunities

  4. 10+ years of work experience in process design, process implementation and process management in logistics, materials life cycle management, Inbound material management (receiving), inventory management/controls, Trade compliance and Tax support or other work in these areas

  5. Experience collaborating with geographically distributed cross-functional teams to implement logistics/business processes in a global environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Masters degree in Supply chain management or operations, MBA

  2. Experience in setting up logistics operations in countries outside of US, 4PL enablement

  3. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  4. Proven ability to get results across multiple groups and disciplines

  5. Leads by example, creating a sense of energy, ownership, and personal commitment to the work

  7. Strong self-initiative and persistence, ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarity in key areas
