Facebook is looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to join the Facebook Blueprint team. Blueprint is a global training program designed to educate advertisers, agencies, marketing partners, and small businesses on how to meet their business goals using the Facebook family of apps and services. The Blueprint team is entrepreneurial-minded and dedicated to delivering the ultimate learning experiences for partners across multiple channels. Our mission is to democratize scaled education for businesses big and small.
Blueprint has three pillars: Online (eLearning: online courses), In-Person (Live and Spotlight: interactive in-person workshops), and Certification (proctored exams that test advanced-level competency in Facebook advertising).
The Instructional Designer will be a vital part of creating content for our new training program. The individual will work internally with teams across the Facebook organization to curate training content, explore Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) method, and build a blended education solutions to serve advertisers, agencies, and marketing partners.

Work directly with partners and internal stakeholders to understand and characterize learning needs
Become the expert for a range Facebook products and translate technical content into layman's terms
Curate wide range of existing training content to build meaningful learning paths
Design, develop, and deliver engaging, informative, and visually compelling VILT workshops
Training facilitators how to deliver VILT sessions that promote engagement and collaboration
VILT consulting on technology, platform, format, and content adaptation
Develop high-quality impactful learning interventions and experiences in both web-based and instructor-led environments
Continually work to ensure all training materials are consistent and up-to-date and in line with products and larger training goals and initiatives
Build relationships with key cross-functional partners to understand how your content is being received and engaged with in market, and take action based on feedback
Stay up to date with training and education trends — always look for new ways to us to remain innovative and effective in democratizing education
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Journalism, or related field
5+ years of experience in curriculum design or educational content development for VILT
Experience in content curation
Experience in moving training from traditional face to face classroom into both digital and virtual forms
Experience in leveraging VILT technologies to design, facilitate, and train virtually
Experience in managing and delivering multiple projects at one time
Consulting, relationship-management, and advocacy experience
Interpersonal communication and problem-solving experience
Experience with visual design (primarily in PowerPoint and InDesign)
Experience with certifications programs and creating exam questions
Experience with digital marketing and advertising teams and agencies
