Instagram is looking for a strategic, creative, and entrepreneurial leader who is passionate about Instagram and sports, and has the experience and skill set to create value for our sports partners, sports fans, and Instagram. This position will lead Instagram's Sports partnerships efforts globally, working closely with Facebook's Sports Partnerships team to build and execute strategies and programs to drive high impact use of Instagram among sports influencers - including leagues, teams, athletes and media partners. The right person will develop Instagram's sports partnership approach; handle day-to-day operations; identify and influence new partner opportunities with Instagram's product, engineering, and sales teams; manage partner relationships in conjunction with Facebook's Sports team; field and prioritize incoming requests; troubleshoot partner issues; and improve partner performance. This work requires significant cross-functional engagement with colleagues across industry verticals and global regions within both Instagram and Facebook, and the position is located in Instagram's Menlo Park headquarters.
Lead development of Instagram sports partnership strategy and partnership best practices
Help sports partners re-imagine how best to use Instagram to grow and engage their fanbase and drive their business objectives
Initiate, negotiate, and project manage high priority partnerships in conjunction with Facebook's Sports partnerships team
Serve as internal advocate within Instagram for partners, including working with Sales and Product teams
Work closely with Facebook Sports and Instagram Media colleagues to coordinate opportunities around key events (e.g. Super Bowl, NBA Finals, World Series)
Track, analyze and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners
Serve as a spokesperson for Instagram
7+ years experience with digital initiatives and/or partnerships in the sports industry
Experience with leadership, working independently and cross-functionally to drive multiple projects
Knowledge of sports ecosystem, including leagues, teams, media, and athletes
Communication and presentation experience
Experience thinking strategically about issues, and influencing internal and external stakeholders
