The Product Data Operations (PDO) team supports the entire Facebook family of products in scaling key priorities for product and engineering in support of creating a great experience for our community. PDO focuses on operationalizing investments in machine learning and artificial intelligence. PDO is a high growth and innovative group looking to provide best in class operational support to product.

We are seeking an experienced leader who has led large global teams, scaled critical programs, and a track record of strong partnership with product leadership. You will have a passion for people management and demonstrated ability to build and develop leaders on your team. You will bring operational leadership and creativity to help identify opportunities to improve community and cross-functional partners.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communications and relationship building skills at all levels in the organization. The ability to achieve results through others is essential and requires close alignment with all of our teams within global Community Operations, Product Management, Engineering, Analytics, and Workforce Management teams. This is a full-time role based in our Menlo Park office.

Required Skills:

  1. Represent PDO in relationships with product, engineering and cross-functional partners.

  2. Gather and implement feedback and recommendations for how we can improve our partnership.

  3. Provide strategic direction and thought leadership and a vision for our Product Data Operations team, defining the future of operational investments in machine learning.

  4. Understand core elements of our global operations and product strategy, and drive innovative new approaches to scale our operations, improve tooling and experimentation, and drive world class practices on the team.

  5. Provide management guidance on organizational effectiveness, change management and conflict resolution, as well as provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, performance management, skill development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of leadership experience in product, strategy, online operations, and project management within a global organization

  2. 5+ years people management experience, especially of managers

  3. Strategic thinker, analytical and problem solving experience, with experience driving resolutions at scale

  4. Knowledge in identifying, utilizing and communicating performance metrics

  5. Relationship management and communication experience

  6. Experience working within and representing a global team

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience improving products through data quality and annotation at scale

  2. Proven ability to influence others without having positional authority
