Facebook Head of Global Sales AR/VR in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

Our AR/VR organization brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and platform. We plan to release multiple products over the next few years. In particular, we are building technologies or seemingly impossible products that define new categories that advance Facebook's mission of bringing the world closer together. We're seeking a Global Head of Sales who will lead the sales strategy, development and business performance for all of Facebook's AR/VR consumer hardware products & accessories (i.e. Oculus and other brands/products still in development). This role will be responsible for delivering business performance through effective promotional plans and consumer offerings and managing a global sales team to execute on the vision. Critical partnerships for this role include working closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product and Go-to-Market functions.

Required Skills:

  1. Strategy - Lead our Sales Strategy and execution for all of Facebook's consumer hardware.

  2. Forecasting - Business planning and sales forecasting throughout our hardware product’s lifecycle, from conception to end-of-life, and deliver sales targets in all markets.

  3. Team leadership - Lead the global sales and channel marketing teams, who today are located in North America and Europe, and help develop expansion plans to APAC.

  4. Internal partnerships - Partner with Sales Ops, Supply Chain, Marketing to help us launch and sustain market share with our first party products, as well as work with third-party partners in the development and execution of successful sales strategies.

  5. External partnerships - Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Retail partners, inform and grow our own eCommerce as business, as well as develop new concepts for alternative sales channels.

  6. Team player - Work with Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Procurement teams to develop and refine our go to market strategy.

  7. Partner with Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Reverse and Logistics teams to ensure inventory, service processes and ultimately an exceptional consumer experience before, during and after purchase.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 15+ years of retail and consumer technology experience

  2. Global experience

  3. Commercial experience in hardware and/or FMCG/CPG sales

  4. Operational experience in helping teams and organizations work

  5. Analytically minded with experience in using data and insights to inform business strategies

  6. Leadership experience, with proven experience building productive teams and cross-functional relationships

  7. Combination of visionary, strategic and pragmatic experience, encompassing both strategic marketing experience and hands-on tactical execution

  8. BA/BS degree in business, accounting, engineering, finance, marketing, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working in a cross-functional capacity within a fast-paced, changing environment
