Facebook's FP&A team partners closely with business leaders and managers across the company to drive strategic initiatives, optimize expense and headcount investments, track & report financials and analyze underlying business drivers & trends. We focus on using our unique view into the numbers to surface opportunities and to guide the efficient use of our resources. Successful candidates for this team have a bias toward action, exceptional partnership and communication skills, and an ability to engage in both detailed analytical & reporting work and strategic, high-level discussions. In this role, you will be the lead finance partner responsible for supporting the planning, strategic decision making, and forecasting & reporting activities for the Communications and Policy teams. You will act as part internal strategic consultant and part financial business partner to a team of executives. The position is full-time and located in Menlo Park, CA.
Build strong business partnerships with leaders of all levels and functions
Influence business partner decisions through developing frameworks and analysis of quantitative and qualitative measures
Provide financial leadership for headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
Manage processes related to month-end and quarter-end close, including accruals and management reporting
Collaborate cross-functionally with other FP&A groups, as well as operations including strategic sourcing, purchasing, accounting, and corporate finance to provide seamless support
Build thoughtful analyses to drive better investment decisions and measure the efficacy of various programs
Optimize existing monthly, quarterly, & annual forecasting processes and reporting
Promote thought leadership in process improvement to scale forecasting and reporting tools, procedures, and methodologies
Lead and develop a small team of high performing FP&A professionals
BA/BS in Business, Economics, or equivalent
8+ years of finance-related experience in a technology, investment banking, consulting, or public accounting firm
Experience building cross-functional relationships and partnering with organizational leaders
Analytical experience and experience with building business cases
Experience with communication and tailoring messaging for audiences of varying level of seniority
Experience in Excel and PowerPoint
People management experience
Experience in engaging with and challenge business partners as both an advocate and an objective assessor of their initiatives, programs and objectives
Experience with self-starting and direct work in an unstructured environment
Detail-oriented, and able to multi-task and prioritize to deliver impact in fast-paced environment
Experience with Hyperion Essbase and Oracle Financials
