Summary:

At Facebook, we make advertising meaningful for everyone: for people, and for the 7+ million businesses who use our platform to connect with people across the Facebook family of apps. We work to empower businesses to create meaningful connections to consumers. We're looking for an experienced marketing leader who is passionate about technology, innovation and advertising to join our Global Business Marketing Team. This Director will lead multiple teams of marketers to formulate strategy and drive execution. To start, this role will oversee the marketing teams serving Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, with the potential to add additional teams/lines of business in the future. This leader will work in consultation with other cross-functional partners in our business units, Consumer Marketing, Product, and other groups. This leader will be responsible for understand business audience segment needs and how we can market our services best to those audiences. The leader will help teams embrace marketing best practices and hit aggressive growth goals. The candidate should be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and decision making under uncertainty. This is a full-time position based in our Menlo Park, CA office.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead, manage and grow a team of highly skilled marketers

  2. Coach and develop a seasoned leadership team

  3. Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with leads of our businesses across the family (Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.)

  4. Develop and then demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader Facebook ecosystem to influence strategic marketing direction and positioning

  5. Facebook ecosystem to influence strategic marketing direction and positioning

  6. Create and enable world-class product marketing communications, including sales-facing materials and in-market activations

  7. Drive product awareness and adoption by developing and managing detailed, long-term marketing plans and executing against them

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. 15+ years experience in a startup or corporate environment with at least 8+ of those years’ experience in marketing management

  3. Proven communication experience

  4. Proven track record of developing, managing and growing teams

  5. Experience working in a cross-functional, team-based environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA

  2. Background in digital advertising and/or digital marketing
