Facebook is seeking to fill the position of Director, Accounting & Reporting. The successful candidate will have domain expertise in accounting and reporting, experience working with accounting leadership, a history of cultivating collaborative cross-functional partnerships and a desire to build and a focus on developing people and teams. In this newly created role, the Director will partner with each of the functional leaders of the Chief Accounting Officer Organizations, and our key business partners, facilitate communication and consistent prioritization across the CAO leadership team’s programs and priorities. Success in this role involves an ability to think critically and creatively, support a fast-paced CAO leadership team, plan and execute effectively while collaborating across global locations. The successful candidate will have a strong appreciation of the value of listening, co-creation and partnering. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), this is a high impact role with significant career development opportunities. This full-time position is located in Menlo Park, CA and will require some regional and global travel.
Develop and facilitate our CAO team and leadership strategic accounting and reporting planning initiatives including CAO leadership priorities, team budgeting and resource planning cycles, off-sites, all hands and team communications
Partner with cross-functional leaders and global process owners to develop CAO team roadmaps, identify team-level growth opportunities and creatively optimize across competing priorities
Develop strong stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channel
Coordinating and curating CAO leadership reporting including audit committee, CFO presentations and cross-finance initiatives
Maintain continuous alignment of our CAO team efforts on projects which have high impact on Facebook’s finance and accounting processes, employee and customer experiences
Lead ad hoc team and talent transformation initiatives across the CAO team including up-levelling business process design and technology skills, rotation opportunities and foster continuing professional education for the CAO organization
CPA or equivalent accounting designation
10+ years of experience including multi-national, high-growth public companies
Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of the Chief Accounting Officer organization
Experience partnering with leaders to bring focus, goals setting, and team execution
Leadership experience with experience in optimizing employee engagement, growth outlook, and communication
Experience leading process transformation, project management, systems projects, acquisition integration and controls compliance
Experience with project diagnostics, and experience in surfacing, talent gaps, prioritization, cross-functional communications and negotiations, and trouble-shooting projects to keep them on track
Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
