Summary:

Facebook brings people closer together around the events and topics that matter most to them. The Data Communications team mission is to provide and assess meaningful research that highlights the many ways in which people connect with one another and use our platforms. Whether it's gathering insights about the communities being built around popular videos, how people engage in their favorite Facebook Groups, or the latest trends in Instagram Stories, we partner with teams across the entire company and family of apps to support critical public narratives.

In this role, you will have insight into almost all of the major projects and initiatives being pursued company-wide. The job requires you to provide feedback and vetting for all public-facing initiatives that involve Facebook Inc. data. Not only that, you will be in charge of and conduct your own research projects and analyses to support our public relations teams.

The ideal candidate has strong research and communications instincts — someone who can both conduct and understand complex research but also knows how to best present insights to various audiences. The ideal candidate also has no problem speaking truth to power: calling attention to errors and potential red flags, even to company leadership, while being constructive in their advice and feedback. Being detailed-oriented and having a critical eye are musts.
