Summary:

Facebook is looking for a Corporate Communications Associate Manager to join its Communications Team. This person will support Global Monetization at the company.

In this role, you will develop strategies and own day-to-day execution for high-profile public relations programs related to monetization products and programs.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in developing and executing high-profile communications initiatives, has drafting experience, and has knowledge and interest in the concepts and technologies that support online and interactive advertising. The candidate also excels at working with the media to tell stories collaboratively with high-level executives, product leads and cross-functional colleagues; consistently delivers high-quality work; works smart but fast; and is able to bring together key stakeholders and drive towards decisions

This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop strategies and own day-to-day execution for public relations programs related to monetization products and programs, specifically direct and online advertising

  2. Interface and consult regularly with cross-functional teams across the company

  3. Educate press, analysts, businesses and third parties and other influencers about Facebook's monetization products and strategy

  4. Protect and enhance the reputation of Facebook and its products in core business and advertising markets

  5. Support and manage the creation of press materials, go-to-market strategy and customer/partner programs

  6. Work closely with external PR agencies for monetization products and advertising as well as broader growth and product initiatives

  7. Work closely with global communications team to drive overall communications strategy, narrative and support country specific initiatives

  8. Organize press briefings, media sessions, and events

  9. Prepare briefing materials and coach spokespeople

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree in English, Communications or other

  2. 5+ years experience in communications or public relations, both agency and in-house

  3. Experience working with Fortune 500 or Ad Age 100 companies

  4. Experience working in internet, technology and/or advertising PR industries

  5. Experience working with business and bloggers to achieve communications goals

  6. Experience in managing PR agencies, contractors and project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proven track record creating and executing successful communications programs for high-profile brands

  2. Experience landing narratives and programs beyond traditional media set
