Facebook is seeking a Content Data Specialist to develop and activate insights about how people find and consume digital content. The Media Partnerships team at Facebook works with the leading content creators in the world, in entertainment, sports, news, and other verticals. This is a unique opportunity to help uncover the data and understand how and why people on Facebook consume digital content on platform. The role will report to our Content Analytics Lead and is based in Menlo Park or Los Angeles.

Required Skills:

  1. Collaborate with content analysts and programming strategists to translate business needs into efficient data solutions

  2. Design, develop, and deliver informative, actionable dashboards and reports to support our content acquisition efforts

  3. Ensure accuracy and own troubleshooting of load failures to timely resolution

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Management Science)

  2. 3+ years of SQL (Oracle, Vertica, Hive, MySQL, etc.) experience

  3. 3+ years experience in custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance

  4. 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or data analytics roles

  5. Experience working independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years of experience working with packages such as R, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, STATA, etc.

  2. Passion for entertainment, sports, news, or other media content
