Summary:

We are seeking detail-oriented Business Analyst in our GMS Operations team to partner with our Global Business Marketing team. The Analyst needs to be technically sophisticated and comfortable working on large, complex data sets. The Analyst will work cross-functionally across Facebook to enable Facebook’s business marketing team to take impactful, analytically driven actions in a fast-paced environment. This individual contributor role requires exceptional analytical skills, bias toward action, strong partnership, and communication skills. Candidates should have a proven track record combining business acumen, analytical mindset, and technical skills to utilize complex data and develop pipelines and dashboards for diverse audiences. Candidates will be expected to rapidly synthesize actionable recommendations based on imperfect data sourced internally and externally, leverage their intuition to guide analysis, and work both independently and cross-functionally. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, interested in marketing, intellectually curious, learn quickly, and be able to move fast while keeping focused on high-impact projects. This is a full-time position located in Menlo Park, California.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop a deep understanding of the business, combine with data to build insights about advertisers, products and competitors

  2. Synthesize impact on financials/economics on our business and provide business analytic strength to drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth

  3. Maintain and enhance quarterly business performance reporting

  4. Project manage improvements to drive greater efficiencies in day-to-day operations using a data-driven approach

  5. Provide business analytic strength to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth

  6. Conduct insightful analysis using internal and external data (e.g. revenue, product, market, industry) to derive insights that will drive business decisions

  7. Focus on process and continuous improvement of core projects through automation and process enhancement

  8. Create, maintain, and improve key data sets, pipelines and reporting to track and manage the performance of Facebook’s largest advertiser/agency partners

  9. Analyze current channel, vertical, and sub-vertical performance and identify levers for driving revenue growth

  10. Drive operational excellence in the marketing organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS in a critical thinking or quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Engineering, and Math

  2. 8+ years of experience in Analytics, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy consulting, or 6+ years experience with MBA/Master’s degree

  3. Demonstrated problem solving experience with experience providing business insights and recommendations from sets of data

  4. Demonstrated experience presenting technical content to audiences

  5. 2+ years of experience in SQL (creating and updating queries)

  6. Excel and Tableau experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA or graduate degree in a quantitative field

  2. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment

  3. Prior experience with a marketing organization

  4. Knowledge of other programing languages

  5. Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
