Facebook seeks a highly motivated, team player to serve as Associate General Counsel, Safety & Security. The position will report to the Director & Associate General Counsel, Security. This is a great opportunity to join a growing security team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on legal obligations related to online safety
Develop and implement global policies relating to safety and security
Support legal and Public Policy teams’ engagement with regulators and legislators on safety issues
Collaborate with members of Public Policy, Legal, Community Operations, Product, Engineering and others on safety and security matters
Litigate issues related to the disclosure of user information
JD degree or foreign equivalent and membership in at least one US state bar
10+ years of legal experience, including in-house and/or law firm experience advising technology companies
Experience with the Stored Communications Act, 18 USC §2258A, SESTA-FOSTA, and analogous international laws
Direct experience working with foreign and U.S. law enforcement authorities, Safety NGOs such as NCMEC, ICMEC, IWF, THORN and industry trade associations
