Summary:

Instagram is seeking an experienced leader for our Strategic Partner Development team to build and enhance successful entertainment partnerships, in collaboration with Facebook leads, across public figures, television shows, movies and pop culture moments. This role will report into the Head of Instagram Entertainment partnerships and will work to influence internal and external partners, and implement strategic partnerships plans with our key partners in the media industry. This job requires high levels of creativity and strategic thinking as you'll be called to help both large media companies and public figures develop innovative social experiences in partnership with Instagram.

You should be as comfortable working with partners as working cross-functionally with colleagues across Partnerships, Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Legal to help meet the strategic objectives of partners and Instagram. You should also expect to handle day-to-day operations and partnerships management with many of our media partners, field and prioritize incoming requests, troubleshoot partner issues and improve partner performance. This position will be located in our Los Angeles office.

Required Skills:

  1. Work closely with Facebook Partnerships and Instagram Media colleagues to coordinate opportunities (e.g. around key events, shows, product launches, etc.)

  2. Be an internal advocate with cross-functional teams - ranging from product and engineering to communications and sales

  3. Negotiate and manage complex strategic programs that drive growth and engagement

  4. Serve as an internal advocate within Instagram for partners, including working with sales and product teams

  5. Operationalize and set strategy for partner integrations across entertainment and lifestyle verticals

  6. Lead strategy and outreach efforts with public figures and industry influencers to develop innovative and high impact partnerships

  7. Track, analyze and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years experience with digital initiatives and/or experience in a partner management or program management role

  2. Knowledge in the traditional entertainment and media industries

  3. Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about issues and influence internal and external stakeholders

  4. Experience managing a team

  5. Leadership experience with experience working independently and cross-functionally to drive multiple projects

  6. Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of management

  7. Communication and presentation experience, and experience serving as a spokesperson for Instagram

  8. BA or BS degree
