Summary:

Facebook is seeking a highly motivated Consumer Communications professional to join the Facebook Video Communications Team. In this role, you'll work closely with our Product and Partnerships teams to support their efforts in making our products accessible and engaging to consumers.

You will manage our communications efforts with Facebook’s rapidly growing global creator community. In this capacity, you'll drive messaging around how creators can leverage our tools to build their business, help showcase all the successful creators on the platform, while regularly educating the media about the progress we are making with this critical community. In addition, you will be integrated into the various communications efforts that support Facebook’s presence within the entertainment industry.

This is a highly strategic position for a motivated person who not only can drive high profile product campaigns, but can also proactively build engaging programs geared towards people who use Facebook. The ideal candidate will have experience working with consumer and entertainment media, including broadcast, print, trade and blogs.

We’re looking for a candidate who demonstrates the ability to drive proactive, reactive and crisis communications, and is capable of working with cross-functional groups to achieve maximum communications objectives. The ability to take complex concepts and distill them into clear, easy to understand communications is key to success in this role. Deep passion for Facebook, video and consumer technology products is a must.

The position is a full-time position located at our Los Angeles, California office.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop key messaging/positioning and execute campaigns to support video products

  2. Build and maintain relationships with press and influencers to drive positive press coverage

  3. Work closely with various Facebook teams and external agencies to drive campaigns and strategy

  4. Manage multiple projects simultaneously across the Communications team with great skill

  5. Engage with executives on strategic initiatives and speaking opportunities

  6. Work autonomously and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 6+ years of communications or public relations experience

  2. Bachelor’s degree in Communications or similar field

  3. Experience with product launches, strategic communications, executive communications and project management

  4. Experience with online content/video either at an entertainment or technology company

  5. Experience working with leaders and executives

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience at both an agency and in-house

  2. Experience working with talent or supporting content creators and digital publishers
