Summary:

The Global Business Marketing team is looking for a marketing manager to join the Messenger Business Marketing team, and lead go-to-market for Messenger in EMEA. This role will report into the Brand Business Marketing Lead for Messenger. The successful candidate will have excellent emotional intelligence and communications skills. They will have the ability to both persuade and listen to colleagues, to drive consensus on the right marketing approach for Messenger. While this is an individual contributor role, a proven track record of leading nimble teams and driving cross-functional consensus is critical.

This role requires the ability to partner with regional marketing managers to build and execute marketing plans that drive results for Messenger Business. The ideal candidate has a good mind for story-telling, and proven experience building brands. The successful candidate will have built and executed several campaigns and will be able to present their entire process, with an emphasis on stakeholder alignment. Experience partnering cross-functionally within large organizations and externally with creative agencies is a must. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of and point of view on the digital advertising industry and is an independent self-starter who is comfortable working across global cross-functional teams. Finally, a successful candidate will have strong POV on the burgeoning messaging market and how Messenger fits into it. This is a full-time role based in our London office.

Required Skills:

  1. Partner with Country Marketing Managers to develop the EMEA go-to-market strategy for Messenger Business and drive cross-functional consensus for its adoption

  2. Collaborate with in-house creatives to produce innovative and creative content, marketing programs and events that build the Messenger for Business brand in the region

  3. Create compelling content that shifts long-held perspectives at the highest levels of specific industries

  4. Build concise and meaningful stories out of complex information

  5. Drive and own execution of priority projects and activations on ground in key EMEA markets

  6. Lead the team in region and liaise with the global Messenger teams to highlight regional needs and continuously surface EMEA initiatives and success stories

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 7-10 years experience in marketing communications

  2. Experience in the advertising industry and digital advertising is a must

  3. Ability to lead integrated marketing plans with a proven track record of results

  4. Ability to create powerful stories from complex product features

  5. Ability to handle the pace and ambiguity that comes with working in a start-up environment

  6. Expertise in Word, PowerPoint, and Keynote (a must) and Adobe Creative Suite (a plus)

  7. Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally
