Summary:

The Regional Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager provides strategic/operational leadership over the Data Center SOC programs and manages site SOC Managers at Facebook owned data centers within the assigned region. The Regional SOC Manager supports development and execution of Global Security Operations and Data Center Security programs, initiatives, processes and best practices to build a safe and secure environment. Builds strong cross-functional partnerships across the Global Security and Data Center teams by communicating team goals, wins and opportunities to maximize safe and secure work environments

Required Skills:

  1. Maintains close partnership with cross-functional teams at site, region, and global levels to develop and continually improve Global Security strategies, programs and tools to effectively protect Facebook’s people, assets and reputation

  2. Provides input and influences the development and leadership of a world class data center security and SOC program

  3. In conjunction with the headquarters, develops a scalable regional operation model to include strategy, roadmap, goals, objectives and staffing

  4. Ensures regional compliance within Global Security and data center standards, policies, procedures, best practices and training

  5. Ensures Data Center SOCs within assigned region develop and maintain world class operational readiness and resiliency through uniform and regular audits, training and exercising

  6. Leads and develops the Data Center SOC Managers and their teams within the assigned region

  7. Provide leadership to understand, collaborate and influence across the organizations

  8. Manages the global performance metrics to determine the effectiveness of the program throughout the region

  9. Develops specific region metrics as appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree

  2. 6+ years of relevant work experience in an operations center environment (GSOC, SOC, Fusion Center, or similar 24x7 communications hub)

  3. Experience effectively leading a team

  4. Strong communication (written and verbal), time management, and sound decision-making abilities especially during times of crisis

  5. Experience in change management and scaling organizations

  6. Experience in vendor management and negotiations

  7. Demonstrated understanding of best practices in physical security strategies, principles, standards, policies and procedures

  8. Ability to influence key business partners without authority

  9. Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional and positive working relationships

  10. Strong technical knowledge and operational experience with Security and SOC Technologies

  11. Ability to work with highly confidential information

  12. Ability and willingness to travel (globally)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) certifications and/or IAEM Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)

  2. Experience in the areas of emergency/disaster management, physical security, critical incident stress management, risk management and business resiliency

  3. Experience working as part of a global team, spanning multiple time zones and cultures
