The Sr. Quality Engineer responsible for, developing and leading the execution of test plans, provide direction and guidance for other members of QA team, participate in release decisions, etc. Technology areas include web client (Flash and JavaScript), Java, MySQL, UNIX/Linux. This position will report to the QA Manager.


  • Lead testing/QA engineering team members
  • Write or review all test plans
  • Lead testing cycles
  • Run automated testing tools to regress and stress each release of the core architecture
  • Record performance thresholds for each core component and trend over time for capacity planning purposes
  • Accomplish manual testing of new features
  • Lead post release functionality review (abbreviated set of tests immediately following a release)
  • Validate bug fixes for front and back end system components

  • Bachelor's degree (4 year degree) or a related field, minimum of 4 years professional development experience
  • 5+ yrs of testing experience preferably in an on-demand application environment
  • Ability to manage and update automated testing tools
  • 2 yrs QA Lead experience. Clear understanding of basic QA principles and methodology and be able to apply this understanding directly to concrete QA problems. QA, from inception to release, for at least three projects with life cycles longer than three months
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies
  • Understanding of web technologies, browsers, browser debugging tools like HTTPWatch, Firebug, etc
  • Knowledge of QA process, theory
  • Experience of web application testing in major web browsers, knowledge of web protocols
  • Knowledge of SQL language, XML structure, Linux command line interface commands
