Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Electromagnetic Effects. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

Successful candidate will be thetechnical liaison Interface with internal and external organizations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team in decomposing platform level electromagnetic environment (EME) and radiation system level requirements into box level requirements.
  • Specifying EME program design guidance and coordinating subcontract management test planning with suppliers or NGTS / Sub-suppliers. Provide status at Program milestone meetings.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining IPT and supplier test specifications, procedures, and schedules.
  • Develop pre and post-test briefings demonstrating EME and radiation compliance
  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and 9 years experience OR 7 years with a Master's OR 4 years with a Ph.D
  • Experience with MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-464 or MIL-STD-461
  • RF test engineering experience
  • Willing to travel 25% of the time
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required to start and the ability to obtain and maintain program access (SAP)
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSEE and a minimum of 7 years of directly related experience.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and RF modeling software tools such as FEKO is desired
