~ The Senior manager Connected Car Delivery and Operations is responsible for the coordination of the technical integration for connected services and related business applications across HMA enterprise systems.

~ Responsible for delivery of various connected car features and projects working with internal business teams and 3rd party solutions providers.

~ Be the technical thought leader in envisioning application and integration of “internet of things” type connectivity across HMA business systems.

Major Responsibilities:

~ Manage Connected Car projects and vehicle feature launch delivery timing

~ Work with R&D and affiliate groups to understand feature and product dependencies

~ Review the business requirements and establish the cross functional technical requirements and system architecture requirements for all connected vehicle related projects

~ Coordinate Connected Car feature audits with various affiliate groups

~ Manage operations to ensure technical service delivery is successful; ensure that technical cases are being triaged and routed to correct parties and outages are being resolved in a timely manner

~ Create, review and update corresponding technical service delivery policies and procedures, including those drafted by Hyundai affiliates.

~ Establish measurement process for system performance, track and report performance and address system operation deficiencies.

~ Manage the process change request process for the vehicle technical ecosystem to ensure that all changes are appropriately scoped and impact assessments are received in a timely manner to meet the target schedule.

~ Establish the correct operating model to ensure that services delivered by service providers are correctly monitored and any issues are routed to the correct party; issues that become defects will be handed off to appropriate team(s) for triage, issue resolution, validation and monitoring.

~ Provide guidance and support on cyber security and privacy initiatives.


~ Manage and maintain the department budget for technical and project management consulting support.

~ Communicate and resolve issues to management and business partners.

~ Authorize PCRs that have a positive impact on customer experience and/or business case.

~ Authority to recommend system architecture and needed projects.

~ Manage technical integration and performance of Business Systems.


~ Must have a Bachelor’s degree.

~ Master’s degree a plus.

Related Experience:

~ Eight years of experience of which at least 5 years are directly related experience in automotive, with project management roles and vendor relationship management.

~ Prior automotive industry experience preferred.

~ Three to five years of supervisory experience desired.


~ Good understanding of general automotive technology (diagnostics, infotainment, preferred) and/or consumer electronics.

~ Ability to lead, train, motivate and manage multi-skilled personnel.

~ Good understanding of Cyber Security and Privacy guidelines.

~ Highly analytical and accomplished in presenting to different levels/audiences.

~ Advanced knowledge of IT interface and systems operations management required.

Certification Preferred:

~ Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE).

~ Institute of electrical and electronics engineering (IEEE).

Physical requirements:

~ Normal office duties.
