Our Client is seeking Medical Assemblers in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, plus 2 Saturday's per month and overtime as needed.

Job Description:

  • Perform somewhat simple and routine tasks in the preparation for medical device assembly
  • Set up of workstation
  • Hand sew springs and other small parts onto surgical cloth and related in accordance to work instructions
  • Sew less than 10 Springs a day for TAA Product line or 8 springs a day for AAA
  • Work in the CEA where special apparel, hygiene requirements and documented work place practices are a must
  • Place parts in specific relationship to each other per written SOP and Manufacturing instructions
  • Responsible for formal training and proper us of document revisions, completion of the Device History Record/ Traveler and compliance to all calibration and preventative maintenance needs at their immediate workstation or area.
  • Work under supervision and direction from supervisor/group leader
  • Responsible for communicating problems to supervisor/group leader
  • Maintains clean and orderly work station

  • Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment - preferably medical device industry but not limited to 
  • Experience working with small parts such as jewelry, medical parts, etc. for long periods of time
  • Must have fine motor skills (have to hold a surgical needle with tweezers and hand sew all day)
  • Understand, interpret and complete all operations per documented manufacturing and work instructions
  • Must have adequate product and process knowledge
  • Must be able to read and understand product related technical drawings and instructions for assembly and testing
  • Understands line flow and works on priorities in proper order
  • Responsible for compliance with Workstation Practices and CEA Personnel Procedures
  • May not meet productivity standards but is within acceptable quality expectations
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Understand ruler reading
  • Must have great deal of patience, strong dexterity, be detail oriented and have good hand-eye coordination
  • Sit/stand/walk 8 hours per day
  • Light lifting
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Procedures is preferred
  • Must have a strong comprehension of the English language
  • Pass criminal background check
