AEG Vision (or “AEG”) is building a market-leading group of full-scope optometry practices through the acquisition of regional eyecare groups and independent optometry practices. Founded in 2017, AEG currently owns and operates ~170 optical locations across 12 states, with a vision to exceed 300 locations within the next couple of years. AEG is supported by Riata Capital Group, a private equity firm with a track record of success in the optical industry.

We are building AEG by acquiring a collection of full-scope optometry practices and integrating them onto Acuity’s platform, supported by its corporate headquarters (the “Dallas Service Center”). AEG maintains the local brand, practice staff, store associates, and patients of its acquisitions – while investing in medical equipment, technology, infrastructure, and the team in order to elevate the patient experience. About the Opportunity

Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for providing exceptional service by welcoming our patients and ensuring all check-in and check-out processes are completed.

Reports to: Store Manager

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge and greets patients, customer, and vendors as they walk into the store, in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Answers and responds to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Schedules appointments
  • Gathers patient and insurance information Verifies and enters patient demographics into EMR ensuring all fields are complete Verifies vision and medical insurance information and enters into EMR
  • Maintains a clear understanding of insurance plans and is able to communicate insurance information to the patient
  • Pulls schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patients appointment and ensures files are complete
  • Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed
  • Print and prepare forms for patients visit
  • Collects and documents all charges, co-pays and payments into EMR
  • Allocates balances to insurance as needed
  • Maintains a clean workspace at all times
  • Practices economy in the use of time, equipment and supplies
  • Performs other duties as needed and as assigned by manager
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required
